Meal Prepping at It's Finest

We are halfway through the work week, and this brings me to meal prepping.  I started meal prepping about a year ago, and it has changed my life.  I understand a lot goes into it preparing five meals, but what a game changer it has been to my wallet and my stomach.

My husband and I work a lot, and for the most part we don't get away from the office or the football field with enough time to really get lunch.  We also realized that we spend TONS of money eating out and are not the most healthiest of options.

In starting with meal prepping for the work week, I quickly discovered although meal prepping is fantastic, the dishes are not. So that is when I decided to buy in bulk "to go containers" that were microwaveable and had lids (similar to what you get from restaurants), because I needed something that I could easily commute with but also something that I could throw away. #gamechanger

I also plan out the meals that I plan on making during the week, and try to do as much prepping on the weekends to help myself out during the week at the end of a work day.  Because there is no other place I would rather be then on the couch resting, with a large glass of wine, then spending the whole evening in the kitchen cooking (and then cleaning the dishes).  This also helps with our grocery bill, as I will only buy the things I need for the week, and not waste it on things I won't use or will go bad before I make them.

So below is just a sample of the breakfast meal prep I did for my husband and I for this week.  The cinnamon roll recipe was shared on a previous blog post this week.  And who doesn't love the quick use of frozen mini quiches, grapes and little cuties!
